Hi,

I really understand your concerns and feeling after working in Oracle environment for so long. I don't have the features comparison between SQLServer and Oracle, but I read a whitepaper from Interbase comparing their database product with SQLServer from Microsoft and Sybase (as you know MS SQLServer's root is from Sybase). You can identify those short-comings and limitations (such as page level locking, non-transparent 2-phase commit implementation, size limitation etc) from the whitepaper. As you are familiar with Oracle, you can easily figure out the differences between these 2 products. Hope that help for you.

The web page is at
http://www.interbase.com/products/sybasewp/index.html

Regards,

Kimmy.
