ORA-00439 : Function not available : Objects

Hello,

I've tried to use the new Object-Relation Technology, but it isn't working.

I've already reinstalled the whole server ( Oracle v8.04 Sun Solaris), so that I can be sure, that the object-modul is installed.

Is there an option that I have to activate the object extension after the installation ?
Can anybody help me ?

Here is one of the lines, which show the error :

SQL> CREATE TYPE line_item_t;

CREATE TYPE line_item_t;

                       *

FEHLER in Zeile 1:
ORA-00439: Funktion nicht aktiviert: Objects
