I would not class BO and Crystal in the same product market. Crystal is a report designer/writer for a production orientated environment. BO is aimed at the end-user analysis environment.

You simply can not do production reports of a data mart or data warehouse using BO without a -lot- of difficulty. Neither can you give Crystal Reports to an end-user and tell him "here, go and analyse your data and design reports".

You need to compare Crystal Reports with something like Reportsmith, or BO with something like Cognos' Impromptu.
