    Here's a novice question.     

    I have just install Oracle8 and I am new to SQL. All the while I = have been programming in Clipper and I have tried to migrate to = something more powerful and different.     

    Everytime I try to use SQL*Plus, it asked for a password and = username and init string, how do I know what username or password to = use? I mean how do I create one so that I can try out SQL*Plus. I have = tried creating it in ODBC Administrator but it doesn't work so can = somebody tell me how to do it right.
