Exception using ORACLE JDBC-Thin

Hi,

I have a very strange problem. Under special circumstances I get the Exception:
  Bigger type length than maximum
stepping through a table using ResultSet.next(). I get this Exception only using JDBC-Thin and only with specific tables.

Has anybody a good idea what this Exception says and what is wrong?
