comp.lang.c does not have a moderator, but it does have:

Hmmm, sounds strange. Since c.l.c is unmoderated, postings rarely tend to disappear. They get ignored or flamed, but not removed. Are you sure that you checked this group regularely and that it is not the fault of internet latency or your ISP ?

Or none, depending on how you look at it. This group (ie. comp.lang.c) mainly deals with standard C and tends to discourage questions that are only related.

You can't do it in standard C at all, but you should better be careful
with absolutes in large contexts. What if some Unix expert digs out a
way to do it without a makefile ? For Unix realted programming
questions you might ask in:
news:comp.unix.programmer

This is a valid request for unmoderated groups. For the moderated ones you will have to read the charta of the group very carefully to determine what is on or off topic. But AFAIK, if a posting is rejected or removed, the moderator is reqired to inform you about the action and the reason.
