All,

We've got a few VB apps (versions 3 and 5) running on Windows 95 and NT which are using Oracle's ODBC (version 2.5.3.1) to talk to an Oracle 7.3.4 database running on NT.

The problem is that the application runs very slowly. Using MS's ODBC driver to a SQLServer database on the same NT box response time is very quick.

I've tried OpenLink and InterSolv Oracle drivers to the O7 database and they are better but still much slower than the MS-SqlServer configuration.

Anyone got any ideas about how to speed up Oracle ODBC?

I can post exact DB placement details if necessary (although I know the DB is not the bottle neck as local access is very fast)
