There are many books. You need to learn SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle's Programming Language) as well as development tools such as Developer/2000. You will need to purchase several books. Get ones that are thorough with good examples. Oracle Press books are good. Learning Oracle on your own is a formidable challenge because there are so many areas of Oracle that can be learned - probably more than any other development environment. I would recommend considering taking courses although that is the expensive route.
