Hi,

I am working for a company that is specializing in the planification of forest exploitation. We currently have small Excel-based databases (50,000 records), but we are expecting to get more data this year; the record count might jump up to 200,000 very fast. Of course, Excel cannot handle such important databases, so we decided to switch database managers and to develop a new database that would be expandable. We have heard about Oracle and their products , and they seem a logical and reliable choice. However, I have browsed through the site and I couldn't really find the suiting information. I would appreciate if anyone could help me with the choice.

        Here are our needs:

Personally, I am not a database expert, but I will be working with a small team with people who have the right knowledge. We are experts in C++, Java, and VB programming languages.

With this information, which of the Oracle products would you advise?

        Thank you very much,

---
