We use Oracle on NT for a small help desk database with maybe 10 concurrent users. It is reliable and stable. The only problems are:

  1. NT's poor scripting capabilities. This is eased by the Win-GNU tools from http://www.cygnus.com/misc/gnu-win32/ which can leave you nearly thinking you are in a unix environment, except that the old set I downloaded are slow, and;
  2. Performance. We should have got a bigger box for this app.
