Sounds like the Win95 configuration is stuffed. I suggest re-installing Win95. Also installed TCP/IP and for the network driver select "dial-up adapter" if you don't have a network card. If you can, the best will be to backup all your data, and re-format the disk before you install Win95 again as re-installing Win95 over an existing installation that is not working correctly does not always fix the problem.
