Problem with Designer Tutorial

I have been trying to do the tutorial that comes with the new Web Suite but my attempts keep failing. When I try to use the process modeler to add a process step to the application, it fails with the following error:

RME-00222: Failed to dispatch operation to Repository.

The detail says:
RME-00208: No Current Activity.

Does anyone know why this is or what I can do about it? Thanks,
