Larry discovered quite quickly with his Network Computer that if you plan on cutting out all the PC vendors, they'll quickly cut your throat.

Now in this case, you're talking about cutting out DEC, Sun, HP & IBM, who do a lot of the basic legwork in selling Oracle boxes to begin with.

It might be a good idea, but somehow I think it might muddy Oracle's business relationships with a lot of hardware companies.
