Complete Oracle 8 Database Backup and Recovery

My company recently purchased Oracle 8.0 for NT. One of my responsibilities is to create and execute a complete database backup and recovery scheme, using the Oracle Backup Manager running in NOARCHIVE mode. From what I have read about this process the Oracle Backup Manager will backup everything, that is the location and contains the Control file, Tablespaces, Data files, Rollback segment, etc., but it will not backup the password and init.ora files. Could someone please tell if using the Oracle Backup Manager and somehow copying the password and init.ora files will give me all I need to completely recovery my database? And how would I go about backing up the password and init.ora files?

Thanks,
