Double logon in Oracle

We are using ODBC to connect to the ORacle 7.3 Workgroup server running in NT Server 4.0.
When we execute the applicatino written in Visual C++ 5.0, Oracle an ORacle logon screen
comes up. The username and password are already there and we just have to hit OK. The username
and password are hard coded into the program. we have other ORacle servers that don't dot this.
Is there a parameter or something I need to change on the Server?
