PWD????.ORA and Hot Backups

We recently installed Oracle 7.3.3.0.0 on a server with NT3.51. We have scripts which are used to take a hot backup by tablespace. After the tablespaces are completed, we switch the log files, backup the control file, and make a copy of the init file.

With the above information, we have been historically able to recover the database by rolling forward with archive logs on 7.2.2.4.9 (Our other databases). With the new 7.3.3 database, we have implemented a password file. Do I have to pull this pwd file over with the hot backup files? Does it have to be backed up in any specific way/time to correspond with the hot backups or will any pwd file do (Does it have a checksum included?)

Anybody who has successfully done this, I would appreciate your thoughts. Please respond via e-mail to the following address.
