Oracle Corp. and Tibco Software Inc. announced a comprehensive
technology licensing agreement that allows Oracle to embed Tibco's

product line.
- Oracle's Internet Commerce Server to Enable I-Commerce Site Hosting
An upcoming version of Oracle's Internet Commerce Server will provide
Internet-commerce site-hosting ability to Internet service providers and
other companies.
- Oracle Supports IBM's S70 RS/6000 Server
Oracle Corp. announced support of IBM's 64-bit S70 RS/6000 server.
- Oracle Dedicates New Portland Development Center
Oracle announced that its newly formed Portland Development Center will
focus on software development for Oracle's Application Server Division.
- Oracle, CompuWare, Platinum, and Technosolutions Announce Integrated
Visual Development Tools for PL/SQL
- Oracle Unveils New Tools Strategy to Bring Java to the Enterprise
The plan focuses on expanding Oracle's offerings to provide an
integrated toolset to develop applications for the network computing
platform.
- Oracle is Leader in OLAP Benchmarks
Oracle continues to demonstrate its lead in decision-support solutions
(DSS) by announcing new results for the Analytical Processing
Benchmark-1 (APB-1).
- Oracle NCs Will Link to Windows
Network Computer Inc., an Oracle subsidiary that makes server software
for network computers, announced that it will bundle Star Division's
StarOffice suite with its server software.
- Platinum Technology Plans Shipment of Application Development
Management Tool
Platinum Technology announced a decision-support tool called Platinum
Advisor, designed to help application development teams complete
projects on time and within budget.
- Embarcadero Announces 32-bit DBArtisan 4.0
This upgraded version promotes greater levels of database availability,
performance, and security in distributed multi-vendor production
environments.
