I'm not sure of the limit, but I've moved over 100M in a single field before (from VMS-Unix and Unix-Unix).

You've got to figure the limit is not going to be SQL*Net, but rather the server and the client. You can use export over SQL*Net, and it must be able to export every column. Since a long can be up to 2G, this may be the limit.
