Hope some one can help me I'm new to Oracle and really need help. We have Oracel v7.3 runnin on NT 4.0 that is running databases configured by our
corporate people.
My problem is how do I shut down these process remotly to do a full system backup.
My backup software is Arcserve 6.0 with a Compaq 15/30 DLT drive attached. I currently do the following:

	set instance test
	connect internal
{I then enter the password for the instance}
	shutdown immediate

I have to do this for both instances and it is really a pain as I have to go up two floors
and accross to the other side of the building to reach where the server is and the users
are usually still on when I leave for the evening.

Anybody with ideas ??

Thanks in advance
