Help on Oracle Wildcards

I am having a problem in using the LIKE clause. I would like to use "_" as a character rather than as a wildcard. Is there any way of doing it. \ doesn't seem to work and "set escape" is used for some other purpose.

Would greatly appreciate any help in this.

Thanks

Surendra
