I find it difficult to estimate what does "excellent" perfomance means in above context.
Are there any numbers available?
Something simple, like e.g. how long does it take
to run
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM MY_TABLE
where MY_TABLE is something more or less significant (>= 10M rows ).
For example what would be a good [real] time for
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM MY_TABLE;
where NUM_ROWS=10M and AVG_ROW_LEN=160 ???
