sql Query problem

OK I'm using sql*reportWriter and asking for help with the following problem.

The help i really need is with the query to which i have to generate the report with.
 i need to list all of a personnel table except Address and FaxNo

The field in the problem are there is
FamilyName, Title, GivenNames

the query has to return these fields in the following

Title GivenNames FamilyName
----- ---------- ---------
Mr Kim Gary Jones

what i need returned is

Mr K. Jones

I need only the first initial and there to be only 1 space between the MR the K. and Jones

i can work out the spacing part but how do i get only the first characther in Given Names to be returned ... please help ... mail reply's to me aswell asposting to the news group if possible.
