Oracle 8 effect on Financials

Am currently in the process of working with a client on some overall architecture and other issues with their Financials 10.6 AP/AR/GL setup. Am also working on moving them to 10.7 as well as doing some SmartClient work.

Anyway, am wondering what impact the changes that are coming in Oracle 8 will have on the financial packages? Would like to design with 8 in mind - to the extent that is possible.
