Oracle 7.2 WGS hangs with Novell Netware 4.1 SFT-III

We use the Oracle Workgroup Server 7.2 with a Novell Netware 4.1 SFT-III Compaq server( 96 MB RAM ). The 10 clients in our paper production area are connected 24 hours per day with
SQL*Net 2.2-SPX, OO4O 1.0.66, VB4.0.

In the last 3 month the server hangs about 5 times. Some Oracle clients are able to work very slow, other clients only see the hourglass.
Connecting with the Windows Server Manager also hangs with the hourglass ( so it's not a locking problem ). The server CPU load show a constant value of 98-99% ! There are no batch jobs running at this time, no Oracle Backup.
Restarting the server solves the problem ( last night as 00:30 !) .

My question:
- Does anybody know something about this effect ?

• Is the Netware file compression a problem ? We checked that file compression is disabled for the database but we don't now how to schedule or stop the compression process.
• Is there a tool which writes a log file with information about the CPU usage ?
