Yes, you will need SQL*Net for your mac. Find out where the PC people get their SQL*Net I guess. It's a licensed product from Oracle. Tell me more about what's on these floppies and maybe I can help more.

Sort of. Installing it on your mac will be easy, configuring it will probably take some help from the db folks. You need the IP address of the databse server, the name of database, and a valid login. SQL*Net is already running on the server.
