Hi Sylvie,

Besides the documentation given w/ Oracle (which is not allways very good for beginers), I would recomend:

        M. Abbey, Michael J. Corey, "Oracle A Beginner's Guide", Oracle Press

Which is a very good book to learn about the Oracle database, basic concepts, etc.

        David McClanahan, "Oracle Developer's Guide", Oracle Press

After you are familiar with the basic conceps or Oracle, this book is a C programmer's guide to Oracle Database Development.
