A strictly SQL book which I've found quite useful is:
Joe Celko's SQL fro Smarties (Advanced SQL Programming).
Publisher: morgan-Kaufmann, SF, CA
ISBN: 1-55860-323-9
If you know the basic such as joins, etc, this book takes you further into
self-joins, etc.
