I am using a barcode-font and it works fine in Power Objects. If you search the web there is some freeware or shareware barcode font you can download to test with.
If you have Power Objects v. 2.0 then you also have Crystal Report 5.0. Crystal Report has support for barcodes I have not tested it yet but Crystals online dokumentation should tell you all about it.
