We too are having serious performance problems on Oracle 7.2. (VMS) Performance (via SQL-Net) was acceptable until our user count exceeded ~150.
Response times at ~100 users was about 7 to 8 seconds. Today our response times (for the same routines) are measured in MINUTES and our customers are getting very angry!
(Access to this Oracle via our mainframe software has not shown any serious degradation. No Sql-Net.)

If a mainframe database cannot this load what can???

We have been informed that this is a SQL-Net issue and I was wondering if

anyone else has experienced this problem and/or figured out a work-around.
