On support.oracle.com, under certification tab, Oracle database version 11.2.0.2 does not seem to be certified with RHEL 6.x or Oracle Linux 6.x (for 64 bit).
You would only see Linux 4 and 5 here.
But the following documents contradict the information presented in certification tab.
https://access.redhat.com/site/articles/71633 http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/press/1563775

Am I not understanding something right?

We are on Linux 5.6 and our hardware is getting replaced because it is old and the plan was to get Linux 6.x on this boxes which was ok but when we initially checked the certification matrix, we thought we had to alteast upgrade to 11.2.0.3 or 11.2.0.4 if we were to use Linux 6.

Thank you
Kumar
