Any reason to go Fedora over Oracle Linux? I'm running OL6 at home and is dead simple to install Oracle DB software on (and OpenSSL 1.01g ;). For EM12c here at work, I'm running OL5.8.
FWIW, if you try to go with the 6GB minimum RAM, make sure you have a large swap. Our VM SA kindly bumped the EM12c VM to 12GB RAM and all swap issues disappeared...
