Hi DBAs,

I was asked by one of my customer on the following situation:

Oracle instance was terminated due to problem in written to one of the redo
(the customer has mirrored redo files ) here is part of the alert :

Errors in file C:\ORACLE\diag\rdbms\ldb\ldb\trace\ldb_lgwr_4272.trc:

ORA-00345: redo log write error block 5 count 1

ORA-00312: online log 8 thread 1:
'E:\ORACLE\ORADATA\LDB\ONLINELOG\AXX_REDO02.LOG' ORA-27070: async read/write failed

OSD-04016: Error queuing an asynchronous I/O request.

O/S-Error: (OS 23) Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Errors in file C:\ORACLE\diag\rdbms\ldb\ldb\trace\ldb_lgwr_4272.trc
(incident=816098):

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kccocx_01], [kcrf.c], [10030], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

Incident details in:
C:\ORACLE\diag\rdbms\ldb\ldb\incident\incdir_816098\ldb_lgwr_4272_i816098.trc

My customer asked me , why oracle db crashed , because the LGWR was able to write correctly to one member (the one that didn't have i/o problem)

thans,

amihay
