Description:
The Data Architect /Sr DBA will be part of the Development Operations team. This team is dedicated to making this comapnies websites fast and reliable for millions of users.
We are seasoned, professional, and like to have fun. We are looking for a passionate technologist who loves being in the center of the action.
You are a collaborative problem solver, working closely with our operations and engineering teams
designing the next generation of software.

Responsibilities:
-Design, architect, and build Oracle, MySQL, Mongo, ad Cassandra
databases from determining business requirements   to planning and deploying test and production systems
-Perform operational DBA duties. These will include: installation,
database upgrades, patching, environment cloning, implementing backup/recovery and monitoring procedures, capacity planning, site failover/switchover
  Interface with engineering, network, hardware and system operations teams to resolve problems with application/database systems Be part of a production support 24x7 rotation

Qualifications:
  Strong understanding of relational and columnar database architecture concepts
Strong hands-on experience administering large, high volume 24/7 databases (Oracle, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra): database monitoring/troubleshooting, capacity planning and performance tuning; SQL and PL/SQL development; Oracle Data Guard; data modeling/design; MySQL replicated environments Knowledge of one of the following: UNIX/Linux shell scripting, Perl, Python, C/C++, Java
Proficient working with UNIX/Linux platforms with concrete knowledge of system administration/internals
