I dont remember all the details, but some key points are: Do not overallocate your memory or cpu.
Create an Oracle 'Golden Image' and use that to create the rest of your Oracle VM's.
Use the physical disk options for storave, I dont remember what that is actually called off the top of my head, I do more work on the Oracle side than the VMware side.
Minimze swapping.
Make sure any fs changes get flushed from cache as fast as possible.
