I agree. I've had Java in the Browser disabled for quite a while and I haven't seen any useful in-browser Java apps that would cause me to change the setting. However, that may change once JavaFX kicks in to high gear.

Oracle claims this will not affect standalone desktop Java apps nor Java server (JEE) applications. Based on the description, I feel comfortable with that.

Perhaps it's the latest in the movement to kill Forms ...
