Sheldon,

On your hybrid SSD, are you doing any kind of partitioning or anything to present virtual disks to various Op. Systems you have running?

I haven't had the opportunity to play around with SSDs yet.

The m6700 has 5 HD bays and I was curious about using 4 of them for SSDs and maybe 1 7500rpm SATA drive. The whole system may be overkill for what I'm wanting to do but I really like the idea of having excess capacity for anything I might want to test.

Chris

I am using Dell XPS L502X with inbuilt 500gb and custom added hard disk in place of cdrom [Seagate Momentus XT 750 GB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 32 MB Cache 2.5 Inch Solid State Hybrid Drive
ST750LX003]
I am using oracle virtual box ...3 nodes , one for open filer , 2nd for rac , 3rd for rac 2nd node also have dns server in place. with oracle 11gR2 on Oracle Linux 5.7 I think . have to check on that.

Works fine..

I also own an MSI with 12Gb Mem. and 1Tb hard disk , which also works fine..for RAC. recently we testing EBS ...12R
