OEL5.6 PVM Guest in OVM does not support Hugepages?

We tried to configure Hugepages in OEL5.6 which is from an Oracle OVM template for Ebusiness Suite 11.5
Support states that this is a PVM guest and Hugepages on such a guest is known to cause issues. Is that true?
