Yes You can do it.
Follow the steps:
  1. restore the rman backup to the different server using the set dbid to the original database backups and then direct the files where you want to restore. Finally after the restore is done on the other server, create the control file and then use nid to change the dbid and the dbname.

If you dont want to use the nid then use the rman duplicate feature to create a clone from the rman backup. then you will have the different dbid as well different name.
