Hi,

ASM can also be created without asmlib also. The disks needs to be under oracle ownership for this.
Run the following query to know whether the newly added disks are visible to oracle or not?

select path from v$asm_disk

If the path shows the new disks' complete path, then the disk is visible to oracle and can be added.
