overloaded , node down or whatever - when&nbsp;the connections needed to be redirected to the other node , VIP can be used and that's the very purpose of it ... right ? why should the listener be listening on public IP ? I do not understand the need for it . What can't be done with the VIP that can be done with public IP ? As someone said ... it's just an IP address. ~ prem ~
