Also at that link Oracle's recommendation is to do as you recommended in theory. New TS, Move Segments into new TS, drop old TS. We are looking at the best way to accomplish that with minimal downtime. We have talked about the possibility of exp/imp, doing exactly as Oracle described above, maybe use Streams, anything is a possibility here if it will save downtime.
