Subject: asm question

Hello,

We are currently running a 2 - node rac cluster, SE 10.2.0.4, solaris 10.

ASM is being used.

They are planning to move the database to a new server,

and dismantle the current one.

A suggestion was made , that the ASM disk groups can be configured

on the new servers with very little effort. That is, shut down the

current server, and have the new server point to the ASM disks.

Is this something that can be done ? Has anyone done this ?

    thanks ed
