Has anyone successfully mounted an oracle database using freenas?

I have attempted to create a new database and clone one using a control file
to a directory on an NFS mounted FreeNAS drive and it just hangs. It also
causes the FreeNAS server to stop responding to all requests. I tested IO
using "Bonnie" (search google) and everything works great. I can copy files
to the it fine, but something happens when I try to mount a database using
Oracle. I suspect some sort of configuration issue but it would be good to
hear from someone who has at least opened a database on FreeNAS.
