The files are simply big bfiles, and if they need some library for something, they can use linux free libraries. The have asm functionality, etc. They have at least 80% of all the work. Do you imagine the posibility to use resource management, flashback, auditing, security, etc., with os files and users, I think this will be really nice. I had been breaking my head trying to find a way to discover the funny guy who deleted some file, and I couldn't find the way. I think windows is too limitated, for some tasks, Oracle has more functionality. I don't understand why Oracle doesn't do his own server operating system.
