Oracle 9.2
solaris 5.8

We have to move off of our array, do maintenance on the array and then move back to the original array, we stay on the same server the whole time. To reduce downtime the plan was the sysadmins would split a mirror, that didn't work. They then were going to copy all of the files to the new array and rename the mounts to the original mount names. That didn't work. Now they're wondering if I can do it all myself. The plan would just be moving the datafiles to the new array mounts and renaming the datafiles to reflect the new mountpoint names. I'm worried about oracle home and the inventory. Can they just be copied right over.

thanks
mike
