Arslan,

Look in chapter 12 of the Data Guard Concepts and Administration Manual
and go for the NET_TIMEOUT/NONET_TIMEOUT Attribute of the
LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n parameter. Don't forget to take your SQLNET.ora
settings into account.
