RMAN Questions

Hi Listers,

I have few RMAN questions.

1. What is the difference between a)restore controlfile; b)restore controlfile from autoback;

        a)restore controlfile restores from catalog, how about the next one?

2)set maxcorrupt for datafile 3 to 7

maxcorrupt parameter will be set to datafile 3,4,5,6 and 7. Am I correct? If so, what is the value of maxcorrupt?

3)restore database until sequence 100 thread 1;

what is "thread 1"?
