  1. What OS are you on? On Unix, connect internal will NOT prompt your for a password if you are logged into the box as an OS user that is in the dba group (or whatever group you specified at installation). So if you are being prompted for a password when connecting as internal, your OS user isn't in the dba group. However, you can try your SYS password, since internal really connects as SYS.
  2. Setup an ODBC entry for your database. Then go into Excel (in Excel
  3. and select : Data, Get External Data, New Database Query, then choose your data source and follow the wizard.

Subject: Two Questions Please

Hi Listers,

   I have two questions please.
1. I am using Oracle 8.1.6, how could I change the password of Internal? 2. How can I move the data of a table from Oracle to Excel? Does Oracle provide any tool for this like it provides SQL Loader to do otherwise? Thanks in advance.
regards,
Fahd
