check the sid in your tnsnames.ora file
always do a select from v$datafile if you are not sure if this is the correct database

Subject: Sqlplus Worksheet connects to wrong database when launched from OEM console

Operating System : windows XP service pack 1 Product :: Sqlplus Worksheet
Product Version:: 9.2.0.1

Sqlplus Worksheet connects to wrong database when launched from OEM console

I am using OEM console 9.2.0.1 on Win Xp, oms also running on the same machine. Repository is on Win2000 machine.

When I try to select a database and launch sqlplus worksheet from oem console, it connects to wrong database, in fact the next database in the tree. SQL scratch pad connects fine, and all other products connect fine. If I drop the database from oem console and re add it, it works fine, and after some time problem comes back for some other database

Does any body else face the same problem? Is there any workaround?

Thanks
Deen

Yes, but which user is the owner of the example database?

best regards,
Mihalis.
