There are some 8.1.7 32 bit drivers that you have to install. I will look
around and see if I have the references. I had to get an 8.0.6.4 databases
back from backups so I could migrate it because some advice that I got from
OWS caused corruption. We did it and migrated it successfully. I will try
to get this by the end of today, if you can't wait, call OWS.
Regards,
Ruth

Subject: Oracle 32-bit to 64-bit (AIX)
Hi,
We are looking to "copy" an 8.1.7.4 database on a AIX 4.3.3 server to a
server running 9.2.0.4 on AIX 5.1. Does anybody have any
experience doing
this? Can we mount an 8.1.7.4 32-bit database on the new platform and
then upgrade?
